Captain America: Brave New World

For some reason, the new Captain America had me excited and not at the same time. It had been so long between Marvel movies that I forgot how things ended for our last Captain America. Nevertheless, I went into the movie with an open mind.

Don’t get me wrong, I liked the movie. Sam Wilson is great, but he’s the opposite of our former Captain America. He doesn’t agree with the government and he fights the President on decisions, which wasn’t what our old Captain did. I do think he brought his own persona to the character and liked him overall as a character.

As for the movie itself...it felt more like a prequel to the next Avengers movie rather than a standalone Captain America movie. They focused on reintroducing characters to replace the exact ones they got rid of, which felt pointless. Overall, it was a fun watch with a good plot.
