When I read Bree Willey’s debut novel, I knew I immediately needed more of the new author. She delivered with her new book, Pretty Broken Doll.

Shilo is shy and an Uber driver, He picks up Ryann and brings him home, where Ryann invites him inside and they start to hookup. Shilo fails to mention he’s a virgin, and the night ends awkward and with Shilo being kicked out. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m a sucker for a book with an awkward first hook-up, so I couldn’t put this book down.

Shilo’s twin sister gets him a job with her fiance’s company, but unbeknownst to him, Ryann is one of his future bosses, making the first meeting awkward. Despite the struggle, he becomes Ryann’s assistant, making for a hot, secretive office romance.

Shilo has been through a lot in his life, and Ryann ends up being exactly what he needs. I love the player-to-committed trope and virgin MMCs, so this book was the perfect story for me. The characters were well developed and their happy ending was a hard-earned one. I can’t wait to read whatever Bree writes next.
